For people who can tell a story but can't draw

One sentence in, a finished manga out.

Three steps to a four-page short

You bring the story; it does the drawing. You can see what it's doing at every step. (The interface is in Chinese during the beta.)

The home screen: a large prompt box with a rainy-library story typed in, page count and style options below

Tell the story

One sentence is enough. Pick page count and art style with a click.

Three story proposal cards on the canvas, each with a four-act outline
2

Pick the version you want

It proposes three directions, each with a full four-act outline. Choose one, or ask for "a bit gentler".

Get a finished manga

Characters, panels, screentone and vertical lettering, all laid out: four black-and-white pages on the canvas next to your story.

How Shuohua uses Claude

Plan first, then draw. Claude plans the script, storyboard and layout; image models only draw each panel.

  1. CLAUDE

    Script

Turns your one sentence into three plot directions, each with a full four-act outline.

  2. CLAUDE

    Characters & storyboard

Sets the characters, then the shot, expression and dialogue for every panel.

  3. IMAGE MODEL

    Drawing

Draws each panel from the storyboard, several candidates per panel.

  4. CLAUDE · VISION

    Pick & check

Looks at every candidate, picks the one that matches the storyboard, and explains what to redraw when none does.

  5. CLAUDE CODE

    Layout

Claude looks at the images and decides panel shapes and sizes; code computes coordinates, screentone and vertical lettering.

  6. CLAUDE · CHAT

    Edit by talking

Say "make her smile in this panel" and it works out what to change and redraws only that panel.

Best scripts

We tested several models. Claude writes the stories with the best pacing, the ones people actually want to finish.

Best layouts

Panel flow decides whether a manga is readable. Claude was the strongest model we tested at layout planning.

Better than raw image generation

Having Claude plan and image models draw produces more complete, more readable pages than asking an image model for a whole page.

Where we are: Shuohua's agent is designed around Claude, and we develop and test with Claude. At launch it runs on the Claude API; other models are only a fallback or handle cheaper steps.

Autopilot

Tell the story, go make coffee

Come back to four finished pages. It picks the best images and checks its own layout, and only asks when it's unsure.

Step by step

It stops and asks at each step

  1. Which story?
  2. Do the characters look right?
  3. Redraw this panel?

There are modes for beginners and for professional creators. Pro mode lets you drag gutters, adjust crops and lay out freely.

Quiet for small things, asks for big ones

Swapping images, fixing text and small edits just happen. A big job like a full autopilot run shows the maximum points first and starts only when you confirm. Unused or failed work is refunded.

QUOTE FOR A BIG JOB A points quote card in the chat panel: points reserved for a full autopilot run, with confirm and cancel

Planned pre-launch pricing in Taiwan dollars; we'll adjust after the beta based on real usage. Quality modes: quick, standard, polished (polished uses about 1.5× the points).

FAQ

Can I use it if I can't draw at all?

Yes, that's exactly who it's for. If you can tell a story, it handles character design, storyboarding, drawing and layout.

Do I own the manga I make?

Yes. We don't train models on your work. Commercial licensing details will be published before launch.

Does it work on phones?

Desktop browsers only for now. You can email us from your phone and we'll send a link to open on your computer.

Will it burn through my points?

Small edits just happen; big jobs show the maximum cost and wait for your confirmation. Failed, cancelled or under-budget work is refunded.

Can I draw my favourite anime characters?

No. Shuohua is for original characters only, and all-ages content.

Is there a webtoon format?

Black-and-white page manga for now. Vertical colour webtoons are planned; tell us which you'd prefer when you write in.

Is it as good as a professional mangaka?

Not yet. It's very good at turning a story into a complete, readable short, but the detail isn't at a pro artist's level. Redraw any panel, or hand it to an artist to polish.
